NPR Interview Cape & Islands Feature
Our Mission is to
Create Lifetime Memories
Our Goal is to Exceed
Your Expectations
This is our ACT
Attitude:
It costs nothing but it
creates a memory that may last a life time. No one is too rich
that they can live without it nor is anyone so poor that they
cannot become richer for its benefits. It brings happiness into
the home; produces goodwill in business and is the countersign of friends.
It is daylight to the discouraged; rest to the weary and
sunshine to the sad. It cannot be bought, begged, borrowed or
stolen. It has no earthly value unless it is given away. It is
the power of a smile
Citizenship:
Common Courtesy/Common
Sense aren't as common as they should be. Ethics is how we
display and measure our moral fiber. Character, is the true
nature of our actions. Offering common courtesy shows respect
for others. Making good use of common sense characterizes
responsibility. When we make common sense and common courtesy a
part of our every day life; we promote good citizenship. Good
citizenship creates a "Win-Win" situation that models leadership
and doing good for goodness sake. Long live the common good and
great character!
Time:
We are born with
enough of this to last a lifetime. It is something that we can
never get back. Some would say that money is your most valuable
asset. I disagree! Time, I believe, that time is the most
valuable asset any of us possess. You can look into your bank
account and see what is there and budget accordingly but you
cannot access the how much time you have. Remember that, "no one
gets out alive". Take the time to make the most out of every
single day. Enjoy the journey!
On April 1st, 2005
Clown Around Town raised their curtains. Now in our fourth
year we have grown into a production company that caters to
a variety of venues. We have performed at over 1000 events.
To see a list of our corporate or municipal clients please
refer to our contact page.
We
provide "Inter"tainment. This means that we interact while
entertaining. Ours is a live moment memory. We heavily rely upon
improvisational skills for dialogue and interaction while
remaining within a standard program format.
We
love the traditional good clean fun and antics of our SMIRKS
(Silly Memories Involving Ridiculously Kind Smiles) aka Singing
Telegrams. We like to build up the recipient's ego and give them
a little zinger from all that love them. Illa the Pink Gorilla
is by far the most popular and most well received.
Private Events typically are booked for 1-2 hours. These are
generally birthday parties; retirement and religious
celebrations where we are keeping the 4-10 year olds busy. Face
Painting; Balloon Twisting; Silly Songs; Dizzy Dancing; Goofy
Games; Storytelling; Travl'n Playhouse and the Buffoonery Bus.
Our Community Unity Events (CUE) range from Block Parties;
Fundraisers; Fairs and Festivals ranging in size from 250-10,000
attendees. We provide background atmosphere and similar
"Inter"tainment as we do for the private events. Instead of 1
Intertainor we bring along a CAT Crew of 2-5 depending upon the
event. Many enjoy the Roaming Animated characters (> 65
character choices) that interact with the crowds and provide
great photo opportunities.
Our Enrichment
Programs are ever developing. We believe in encouraging educated
entertainment. We are a supplement to schools and day cares. We
want to inspire everyone to get their ACT together. We believe
in using expressive arts for therapy to help individuals of all
ages heal; learn and face with confidence and support some of
life's challenges.
Our Founder Douglas
Goff is currently on a path to a Ph.D in Expressive Arts Therapy
from Lesley College in Cambridge. Lesley College is the pioneer
in this psychological field that emerged in the early 70's and
has grown into an applauded methodology in working with autistic
and other similar mental conditions. Also, it make for wonderful
and eye opening therapy for individuals of all ages while
dealing with family transitions or personal tragedies. The
business world finds our programs useful in help staff gain
confidence; refine communication skills; make the work-place a
more productive; efficient and enjoyable place to work. We have
found that when staff understand that we should work to live not
live to wrok; organization; efficient and productivity
compliment the frugality the comes about as well. It's a great
investments with a decent ROI.
Mr. Goff has spent over
30 years the entertainment industry working with entities such
as Showtime; Disney/MGM; Nickelodeon; Universal Studios and
Broadway Production Houses. He has sat on the SAG Awards
nominating committee and is an active member of the Screen
Actors Guild and American Federation of Television Radio
Artists. He has also worked with Fortune 100 and 500 companies
taking on the responsibilities of business development;
management and training.
Thank-you fro considering us
for joining in your day of celebration.
We wish that you may
be in heav'n t'irty minutes bafore da devil kno's yer dead.
Cheers & Good
Fortunes!
